Welcome to the end of April. This month has really gone by quickly, I must admit, I have not got a lot done, being away on vacation, but the rest of ATVBC has made up for it and has been very busy. However here are some of the things that have been going on:

Front and center is the registration for the Poker Ride and, to date , 105 people have signed up for the event. I see that the Nicola Valley club is doing a great job of advertising it on social media. Don’t forget to get your name in for the event.

We had two more successful trade shows, one in Nanaimo and one in Kelowna, both of them attracted a lot of attention and we saw quite a few people sign up as members of ATVBC. My thanks to Cal Kaytor and Roz Kennedy for spearheading the Nanaimo show and to the club members who came out and joined them. Thanks also to Kristin and Carrie for managing the Kelowna show and to the club members from that area who came out and supported their efforts.

One other event ATVBC was able to participate in was the Kamloops Gun Show. Thanks to the Kamloops Trailblazer ATV/SXS Club for their offer to promote ATVBC at this event. I am sure that Lance Wilson and John Blinston did a fabulous job of promoting ATVBC and our sport.

The March membership drive where you could enter to win a $400 prize package when you signed up as a new member or when you renewed your existing membership, was again a big hit. We had 6 Family Memberships renewed / 41 New Family Memberships, for a total of 107 New Members. Winners of the prize package were Darren and Dianne Shearer from the Kootenay Rockies ATV Club. They joined ATVBC in 2024. Congratulations to both of them. We have certainly seen some good growth in membership so far this year. So, tell all your friends and neighbours about ATVBC and the benefits from belonging.

Mark Redl and the 108 Mile Club have been working very hard on the AGM Jamboree and this too will be an amazing event. Registration, as I understand it, will open on May the 4th, so may the fourth be with you!!! Get your registration in early to secure your camping spot.

Other current news for March 2026, includes a very successful Outdoor Trade Show in Chilliwack where we were able to sign up over 55 new members.

I had promised a continuation of ATVBC’s history this month, but that will have to wait until my May report. I do have a lot to tell you about the great people who have worked hard to make ATVBC a success, and the great things that ATVBC has accomplished, so stay tuned.
