Recap of the 2022 ATVBC AGM and Jamboree in Valemount
The ATVBC Annual AGM & Jamboree was a big success as we brought our event to a new part of the province that ATVBC has not explored in the past.
Headed up by Ralph Matthews and the AGM Planning Committee, our members were treated to a week of daily rides, nightly campfire socials, an ice cream parade, BBQ dinner, wine & cheese social and sunset rides that take your breathe away!
While the local area currently doesn’t have an ATV club, there is an incredible variety of riding and local enthusiasts eager to share their terrain. From August 2-8th, over 85+ riders descended on the community of Valemount to explore the amazing trails and landscape. Daily rides saw our members reaching new heights including the incredible 8500ft climb to the top of Canoe Mountain. After a day of riding and exploring on Friday night our members were treated to a BBQ dinner hosted by local business BBQ Banditos. Saturday night we held our AGM along with our silent auction and wine & cheese social. The food was amazing, and the beer provided by the local brewery was a big hit. Special thanks to those members who put their names forward to volunteer on the ATVBC board of directors.
Congratulations to all the nominees and a special welcome to our new board members. For the first time many years, the ATVBC Board is at full capacity with 15 board members.
