Well, here we are into May and it is great to see a lot of clubs getting out and riding, and doing so with COVID-19 guidelines and regulations in place. It is a really good way to enjoy the out of doors in a safe manner. Click for all current Public Health orders and guidelines.

The Board of Directors has had a busy spring, and will launch the Trail Ambassador Program that we had described previously, along with the new membership and insurance program for Vancouver Island riders. We are presently reviewing this program to see if it could potentially be rolled out to the whole province. Stay tuned for further news on this.

Planning is still going on with the Logan Lake Club for the 2021 ATVBC Poker Ride which we hope to be able to hold at the end of August. There are signs from the Provincial Health Office that restrictions could be relaxed enough by then to allow us to go ahead. All indications from riders we have talked to is that a lot of you are excited and ready to participate in this event. More information will be coming out on this great event in the early part of June.

The Club Presidents’ Zoom calls that we have had so far this year have gone well, and appear to be gaining in popularity given that we have over 30 participants on the call held on May 11. We do encourage you to have a representative from your club participate and let us know what your club is up to.

ATVBC has completed our change in banking from ISCU to the Royal Bank, and we expect this will make our financial transactions with the clubs much simpler, and our hope is to move towards more electronic transactions where possible.

Through our partnership with RidersWest we have created a number of articles dealing with riding in BC. These will be posted on our website and will appear on social media and in the newsletter as well. The directors for ATVBC are looking forward to the summer and anticipate being able to get out to meet and ride with the clubs as the COVID-19 restrictions are eased.
