Using funding awarded through the Polaris Trails Grant Program, ATVBC has established two grant initiatives to support its member clubs.
1. ATVBC Polaris Trail Data Grant Program
This initiative supports the collection of GPS trail data to enhance mapping, trail planning, and network development across British Columbia.
All trail data files submitted must be approved by Polaris Canada before funding is awarded. Polaris Canada will review the trail data files and inform ATVBC which will be accepted and paid from grant funds. All trail data files submitted will become the property of Polaris Canada and ATVBC. All trail data files should be submitted by October 15, 2026.
Program Details:
- $2.50 per kilometre will be paid on submitted and approved GPS trail files
- Funding is available for the first 1,000 kms submitted and approved
- Maximum total funding available: $2,500 total
(Please note that the Trail Data Grant Program does not include GPS trails on private lands IE Mosaic.)
Program Purpose:
- Improve accuracy of trail mapping
- Support future trail planning and advocacy
- Build a consistent digital trail network for ATVBC regions
- Strengthen trail infrastructure, improve rider safety, and support long-term trail sustainability across British Columbia
2. ATVBC Polaris Trail Signage Grant
This program supports improved trail identification, safety, and rider navigation through standardized signage. All signage projects must be completed by October 1st, 2026 to align with Polars Grant requirements.
Program Details:
- Funding awarded to four (4) approved clubs
- 20 trail signs per approved club
- Funding rate: $50 per sign
- Total funding per club: $1,125
- Maximum Polaris grant allocation: $4,500 total
Program Requirements:
- Approved clubs must produce and install 20 trail signs
- All signs must display the Polaris badge and ATVBC logo
- Signage must align with ATVBC trail standards and best practices
- GPS locations and photo documentation may be required for reporting purposes
- Photos of the 20 signs and receipts must be submitted to ATVBC by October 31st, 2026.
