ATVBC Proud to Support the Release of National Powersports Trails Report

Calling on BC Riders, Dealers, and Industry Stakeholders to Share and Amplify the Message

The Quad Riders ATV Association of British Columbia (ATVBC) is proud to have participated as a key stakeholder in the newly released National Powersports Trails Report, a joint initiative led by Moto Canada and the Canadian Quad Council.

This important report highlights the critical role powersports play in Canada’s economy,

environment, and outdoor recreation landscape. It lays the foundation for the development of a National Powersports Trail Strategy—an effort that aligns closely with ATVBC’s longstanding work advocating for sustainable trail access, community-based recreation, and rural economic development here in British Columbia.

“British Columbia’s vast and diverse landscape makes it one of the best places in the country for off-road recreation. This report provides a unified national voice for riders and a strong case for meaningful government support. We’re proud to have contributed BC’s perspective to this

conversation,” said Chris D’Silva, President of ATVBC. The report calls attention to:

The $14.5 billion economic impact generated by powersports activities in Canada
The importance of motorized trail systems in rural and Indigenous communities
The self-sustaining, volunteer-driven model of trail development and stewardship
The need for dedicated federal trail funding and coordinated policy

ATVBC urges riders, club members, industry dealers, tourism leaders, and land managers in British Columbia to review the report and share it with local, provincial, and federal decision- makers. Ensuring that powersports are included in Canada’s trail policy frameworks is essential to the future of outdoor recreation access.
