Having witnessed a serious winching accident in 2019, I know that to have fun we must be safe. Winching can be very dangerous if equipment is not maintained or if done incorrectly. A fantastic event turned into a terrible day due to an accident that left a young man in the hospital for weeks and with permanent injuries.
In addition to the obvious (wear gloves and appropriate safety equipment), your winch user manual will provide important information to keep you and others safe and your winch and equipment in good shape for plenty of pulls.
