ATVBC AGM

Well, we survived our first virtual AGM. If I do say so myself it went over very well. We did have a few hiccups with internet connections around the province.

We did do a test run a couple of days earlier and resolved most of the technical and procedures issues.

I’d also mention that phoning in to a webinar is generally a very poor alternative for both the attendees and presenters, and we appreciate them taking part and bearing with us.

I also want to thank everyone who took the time out of their day to join us for the meeting.

ATVBC Executives and Directors

All ATVBC directors were elected via acclimation.

After the AGM the new Board of Directors carried on the meeting to choose the new executive for 2020-2021.

  • President Ralph Matthews
  • 1st Vice President Chris D’Silva
  • 2nd Vice President Wayne Mercer
  • Treasurer Lance Anderson
  • Secretary Bob Stewart

I look forward to working with my new Board of Directors.

Please join me in thanking out-going directors Oliver Sayah and Allen Walker.

Oliver joined the ATVBC board in 2018 and represented the Comox and Mid-Island ATV Clubs and was active in Vancouver Island ORV advocacy.

Allen contributed over 10 years to ATVBC as a director, most recently as treasurer. He represented the Shuswap Backcountry Riders and the Lower Mainland ATV Club and was active in all ATVBC management and operations and ORV advocacy and events throughout the province.

ATVBC membership over 4,400 members

Prior to COVID-19 ATVBC was experiencing significant membership growth and our goal was to achieve 5,000 members by year-end 2020. That goal remains but we are less optimistic about reaching it at this point.
