WELCOME to summer!! So excited to see our social channels light up with our clubs sharing their adventures and showcasing the amazing riding around the province. This weekend we will once again bring together members from around the province to participate in our annual ATVBC Poker Ride and this year the addition of our (Sold OUT) 1 day operator safety courses along with our skill building workshops are bringing a larger focus on the importance of safety and responsible riding to our members and community.

This month has seen a continuation of meetings with ministry staff on various land access files but our engagement with government leaders is slowing down as they get ready for summer break. Our Advocacy & Land Use Committee is continuing to work on an important “white paper” to highlight all the ways that government can support motorized sport in BC so we can leverage the upcoming provincial election to bring our concerns and needs forward.

Recently we learned of some potential new changes to the Cascade Gondola project in the Bridal Falls area and we have setup a meeting with the proponent to learn more about these changes to see how this will affect our position on the project. Stay tuned for more info as we receive it!

We continue to make progress on the planning of our Annual General Meeting. This event is happening on Vancouver Island in Lake Cowichan, from Sept 19-23rd with guided rides, a night ride, entertainment, activities for all ages including skill building workshops, demos and the famous ice cream parade!! PLEASE Register on our website for this amazing event!

An important part of our AGM is the nominations for new Board Directors. This year we will have 4-5 spots to fill as we have board directors moving on to other important passion projects. If you or someone you know is a good fit for the ATVBC Board of Directors, please share with them this great opportunity to help shape the future of ATVBC.   2024 AGM Nomination forms are here

Looking forward to meeting a lot of members at this weekends Poker ride!!

See you on the trails!
