I am writing to you from the Annual ATVBC Poker Ride coming to you from Princeton. The turnout has been amazing and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

The event started on Wednesday and we saw nearly 80 rigs come in on that day. So, Thursday morning saw a large number of people ready to get out on the guided rides. Arrangements were made for at least 3 guided rides each day and for Sunday, we have as many as 6 rides planned, including 2 “hamburger” rides which will take the riders to the Erris Fire Hall for a hamburger lunch put on by the Erris Fire Department. There are even rides planned for Monday.

Other points of interest at this year’s event, is the battery operated chainsaw demonstrations, tire repairs, along with Tread Lightly, Milwaukee Tools, KMS Tools and the local Search and Rescue group. All of the rider training courses are full and it is interesting to watch the riders going through their paces.

It is also great to see so many people volunteering to help make this event both memorable and successful.

ATVBC now has some new SWAG, in the form of hoodies and ball caps. They are turning out to being very attractive to the riders at the Poker Ride. Look for the information on these and other items on our website soon.

One other thing that I am pleased to announce, is that Kristin Parsons has signed a contract renewal with ATVBC to continue to provide her Executive Director services that have proven to be of great benefit to ATVBC. I look forward to continuing to work with Kristin on the things that matter most to all the clubs.

Well, this is a short note this month, duty calls, and I am off to do flag duty at one of the road crossings.

It will be fun reporting out on this event in my July report. Enjoy your riding this season, and ride safe!!

Respectfully submitted,

Chris DSilva, President
