President’s Report – Chris D’Silva
Here we are just a month away from Christmas – this year has flown by!
ATVBC has seen a lot of changes this year, and for the most part these have been good for the organization. The ability for us to meet in person again has certainly helped as seen by the great AGM we had in Valemount and the Board of Directors’ face to face that was held in Kamloops in late October.
Face To Face Board Meeting

The face to face was well attended and almost all of the directors were present. With the help of our Executive Director, Kristin, we had a busy and very productive meeting with some major changes coming to the way the Board functions. We will be sharing some of that information in the very near future.
This meeting also gave the Board an opportunity to begin the strategic planning process to set our direction for the next 3 – 5 years. This entailed doing what is called a SWOT analysis to identify our Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and our Threats. The results of this little exercise showed us that we have a lot of work ahead of us to continue the successes of ATVBC. We also recognise that we cannot do this alone and we will be seeking input from all of the ATVBC member clubs as we move forward with this project early in the new year.
Janice is Retiring – We will miss her!
As some of you may know by now, Janice Baker is retiring at the end of November. She has been a tremendous asset to ATVBC and will really be missed. ATVBC wishes Janice all the best in her retirement and I am sure we will see her out on the trails and elsewhere going forward. Carrie Martin will be stepping into Janice’s shoes and ATVBC will be looking for a part time person to work with Carrie and Kristin.
Watch for the Employment Opportunity announcement soon.
Trail Grant Applications now open!

The ATVBC Trail Grant application process has commenced for this year. If you are thinking about a project for your club for 2023, now is the time to get your application in. The first intake runs until December 15, 2022, and awards will be announced in time for successful grant applicants to use the funding for the matching grant with the RSTBC ORV Trail Fund grants in January of 2023.
2022 ATVBC Raffle – Don’t miss your chance to win!
We are only a couple of weeks away from the final draw date of December 10th for the 2022 ATVBC Raffle. If you have not yet bought your tickets, you might want to jump on board before it is too late. Remember, the grand prize is $20,000 cash.

Well, the snow has arrived for Jane and I, so it is time for the tracks to go onto our machines. We will be out riding in the snow and enjoying it immensely as I am sure some others of you will be also.
