Youth Program
Our Youth Program is tailored to young riders, focusing on safety, skill development, and environmental stewardship. The program includes:
- Teaching young riders how to handle their ATVs safely and confidently
- The importance of wearing protective gear and how to properly use it
- Educating on the impact of ORV use on the environment and how to ride responsibly
- Understanding the rules and best practices for sharing trails with other users
What You Need:
- A properly sized ATV (if required, rentals may be available – check event details)
- Helmet, gloves, goggles, long pants, and long-sleeved shirt/jacket
- Closed-toe boots with ankle support
Women’s Skills Training
The Women’s Skills Training program is designed specifically for women riders, offering a supportive environment to build confidence and improve riding skills. Topics include:
- Basic to advanced riding techniques tailored to various skill levels
- Emphasis on safe riding habits and protective gear
- Tips and techniques for navigating different types of terrain
- Opportunities to connect with other women riders and share experiences
What You Need:
- Your own ATV (or access to one through rental/loaner if available)
- DOT-approved helmet, goggles, gloves, long pants, and long sleeves
- Sturdy boots with good ankle support
Winching Course
In the Winching Course, participants learn the essentials of using a winch safely and effectively, including:
- Understanding different types of winches and their components
- Techniques for safe and efficient winching in various situations
- Practical exercises to build confidence in using a winch
What You Need:
- An ATV/UTV equipped with a winch (if available)
- Gloves, long pants, and long sleeves
- Winching gear (straps, snatch blocks, tree savers if you have them)
Navigation/GPS Course
The Navigation/GPS Course helps participants master the art of navigation. Topics include:
- GPS basics: how GPS systems work and how to use them effectively
- Map reading skills: interpreting topographic maps and using them in conjunction with GPS
- Tips for staying on track and avoiding common navigation mistakes
What You Need:
- Handheld GPS device or a GPS app on a smartphone
- Compass (optional but recommended)

On the Trail – Basic First Aid
This course prepares participants for emergencies on the trail, covering:
