On behalf of the newly elected Board of the Quad Riders ATV Association of B.C. (ATVBC), I am pleased to introduce myself as the Association’s new President, Calvin Kaytor.

ATVBC extends our sincere thanks to outgoing President, Chris D’Silva, for his years of hard work and dedication. Chris has generously given his time and energy to supporting ATVBC, our members, and our affiliated clubs across British Columbia. We deeply appreciate the commitment and personal sacrifices that come with serving as President, and we are grateful for his passion for our riding community. Thank you, Chris, for your years of service and for the lasting contribution you have made to ATVBC. We wish Chris continued success and fulfillment in all his future projects and endeavors.

As the new Board begins its work, one of our priorities is to strengthen communication and build positive working relationships with organizations involved in outdoor recreation, land access, trails and resource roads throughout British Columbia.

Our organizations may not always face the same issues, share the same priorities or agree on every matter. Even when our perspectives differ, we can still work together on the issues and interests we have in common.

ATVBC would like to keep the lines of communication open, share information where appropriate and collaborate on matters affecting land access, resource roads, responsible recreation, proposed changes, consultations and closures.

ATVBC is currently hiring a Land Issues Advocate. Once the position has been filled, we will introduce our new advocate to your organization and provide their contact information. This role will help support ATVBC’s work on land access and other issues affecting responsible, motorized recreation.

When an issue affects more than one outdoor recreation group, working together and keeping each other informed can help ensure that the interests of recreational users are heard. We are a stronger voice when organizations communicate and collaborate.

We welcome the opportunity to learn more about your organization’s priorities and to identify areas where cooperation may be helpful. We look forward to building a positive working relationship.

Sincerely,

Calvin Kaytor
President
Quad Riders ATV Association of B.C. (ATVBC)
