The 2018 ATVBC AGM was held in Wells, BC with the Wells Wheels ATV Club hosting the jamboree. With fewer than 20 members, the Wells Wheels volunteers threw a fantastic event!
Week of events
The Wells Wheels led guests on guided rides to breathtaking destinations – mountain tops, wildlife and beautiful waterfalls.
ATVBC director Bob Stewart wrote about the tours in RidersWest magazine, saying:
“There was even a sunset ride, which saw in excess of 50 machines winding their way through the Town of Barkerville and up the mountain to Groundhog Lake along a trail that has been closed to ORVs for over 10 years.”

Barkerville opened gates for ATVs
Barkerville offered a special tour of the historic town for ATV Jamboree guests and hosted an amazing dinner for over 150 people in their new pavilion.
After dinner the gates to Barkerville were opened and riders rode their machines to St. Saviour’s Church for photos.

ATV Trails connect Wells and Barkerville
A recently completed trail connects Wells and Barkerville. Guests staying at Wells in the local hotels or B&Bs, or campers at the area campgrounds can ride their machines between the communities, to the gas station and store, and to connect with a number of area trails.

Partnerships lead to success
The successful event was made possible by a dedicated group of volunteers, including those from the Wells Wheels ATV Club and ATVBC and through the collaborations, partnerships and work by the Town of Wells, Barkerville Historic Town, Rec Sites and Trails BC and Barkerville Goldmines.
